The historic Fox Theatre is one of Atlanta’s premiere venues for live entertainment. The Fox’s 4,678 seat theatre hosts more than 150 performances a year ranging from Broadway to rock to comedy to movies. In December 2009, Billboard Magazine ranked the Fox Theatre in Atlanta as “The #1 non-residency venue worldwide for the decade (5,000 seats or less).” In addition to our world famous theatre, our spectacular ballrooms have hosted everything from Sweet 16s to weddings and corporate events.
The Park sponsors community-wide free events, including the Fourth of July Celebration, Music@Noon, the Wednesday WindDown concert series, and FIT Fridays. The Park also hosts festivals, fundraisers and private events. These events, in addition to the normal day-to-day traffic, bring an estimated three million visitors to this urban oasis each year.
Distinctive in its design, Georgia's State Capitol is both a state and national treasure. Built over a century ago after the close of the Civil War, it is constructed primarily of Georgia's own natural resources -- marble, steel, iron and wood -- with an exterior of Indiana limestone. The decision to use the state's own resources was meant to signal Georgia's independence and the quality of its products.

Special features include the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory, home to rare and endangered tropical and desert plants, and the Children's Garden, a unique, hands-on garden with a health and wellness theme. The Fuqua Orchid Center includes a High Elevation Orchid House and a Tropical Orchid House, both beautiful throughout the year.

Award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, enchanting gardens, interactive experiences, and a variety of year-round adult and family programs truly offer something for everyone looking to explore the region’s past. Admission tickets are all-inclusive of all History Center attractions, and guests enjoy free parking.
